Ike vs The Black Knight: 2:10
Ike challenges his sworn enemy; the Black Knight to a duel to the death!
Ike's stats:
Level - 20/20 (MAX)
HP - 60 (MAX)
STR - 26 (MAX)
SKL - 27 (MAX)
SPD - 28 (MAX)
LCK - 26
DEF - 24 (MAX)
Strategy: Well if you don't have Aether, here's what you can do.
1.) Make sure Ike's HP, Strength, and Defense are maxed by using BEXP and stat boosters before starting this chapter.
2.) Use all 5 of Ike's turns to attack the Black Knight, attack him from a distance so that he can't activate Luna.
3.) Make sure Mist is promoted with a total attack of 20 (Weapon + Strength = Attack) so that she can 1 turn kill the Bishop that spawns at the end of turn 2 that will otherwise heal the Black Knight.
During step 3 is the Black Knight's only chance to defeat Ike as he will be wounded by two attacks with no heals from Mist that turn. Ike will be at 22 HP when it's the enemies turn, and if the Black Knight happens to activate Luna it will hit for 34 and finish you off.
If all goes well, then the the fight SHOULD go something like this:

Turn 1 (Ike) - 51
Turn 1 (BK) - 48
Turn 2 (Ike) - 39
Turn 2 (BK) - 36
Turn 3 (Ike) - 27
Turn 3 (BK) - 24
Turn 4 (Ike) - 15
Turn 4 (BK) - 12
Turn 5 (Ike) - 3
Turn 5 (BK) - 0
Comment: This fight is pretty luck-based but even if Aether doesn't activate, if you follow this strat Ike should come out on top (as long as you don't miss any of those 10 attacks).

I love how the slash marks in BK's armor in his Radiant Dawn artwork pretty much confirm that Ike used Aether to beat him.

Black Knight: Easily the best Fire Emblem villain. This is legitimately the only fight in the entire series I was hungrily anticipating.

There were no traps, the black knight was just so heavy the castle fell when he hit the floor.

I love how Nasir, Ena, Mist and Ike all run out of the castle and the enemies just standing there like: "So, you seen Godzilla VS Kong, yet?"

When the Black Knight says he commends you, I couldn't help but feel accomplished.

This entire mission is notable because it's basically the only one-on-one duel in the entire franchise, with Mist basically just being there so that Ike can have an equivalent to BK's regeneration.

The moment Ike gets Ragnell, he becomes busted because you don't need to use no other weapon in both games.

When I saw the second Aether I thought: "Yes finish him fast!" Then the second attack missed and I thought: "That was so close." That actually reminds me of one of my playthroughs. I attacked the BK and I got Aether. Both hits landed. Enemy Phase. BK attacks. I land a second Aether and both attacks connect.

It's been several years since I have played this game and I still remember the feeling of satisfaction from killing the Black Knight. He is still my favorite Fire Emblem villain. The Ike games were the first Fire Emblem games they released in the U.S (or at least I am pretty sure they are) so they will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember how much I loved Ike, Soren, Brom, Haar, Giffca, and Tibarn. Soren was my favorite Fire Emblem character before Dimitri was released. I named my second D&D character after Soren.
