The NEW Sony a6700 for Landscape (vs a7RV!)

Hey there! It's been a while, but I'm back for a very good reason. I’ve been fortunate to have spent the last couple of weeks testing out the long anticipated a6700 - the next high end APS-C camera from Sony.
I've tested it in a bunch of different landscape situations - taken it to a waterfall, got a great sunset at the coast, and even snuck in some cityscape photography in Perth, and I’m excited to run through some images and share my thoughts. I even ran a direct comparison with landscape king, the Sony a7RV so we can start to get a sense of what, if anything, we're giving up by sticking with APS-C in 2023!
Thanks so much for watching! Subscribe for more 👍

Nice job with this review. You brought some features into light that others failed to point out. I’m considering this (and Fuji) due to the wide array of quality lenses available, along with the compact size making it good for travel and nature photos requiring extensive hiking. I don’t ever use video so only care about its photo-centric benefits.

This is the review that I been searching for!!! Bravo.

amazing review. Happy to see more from Perth

Liked the review mate. Going to upgrade from my a6500, lots of great video improvements for family videos.

I've been watching reviews for the past few hours now and I am so glad that the best one I've seen so far comes for a fellow Perthy :) Good stuff mate

Great to see you back on Youtube! Great camera as well!

Great video, cannot wait to get my a6700 and the 10-20 lens 😍

Thank you for introducing the bulb mode as I do take some astrophotography ! As a a6400 shooter looking for a second camera for not swapping lens between birding 70-350 & 18-135 general travelling or even 11 1.8 for landscape and a quick selfie should be a nice choice~

Hi tnx for the review, I'm from Perth
-
Just wanted to say thank you for producing a photography-specific review, these are getting difficult to find these days.

Feel like I shouldn't be here, being an avid Olympus OMD user, but I like the approach to photography Andrew uses. So I will sit quietly in the background, learning from you Andrew, photography is my passion, and now I have retired I have the time to devote myself to this most engrossing of hobbies.

Finally a landscape photography-based review.

Nice job with the camera when it comes to landscape

Great honest review. Still waiting for you to do wildlife review 🙂

It was interesting that you referred to the Backlit sensor after doing all those long exposures. There is no advantage here. I think the real advantage is for wildlife photographers in dimly lid situations. Nice package, Sony!

Nice video and review! Are the colors on the LCD screen any good? The previous LCD screen colors are terrible. You have to open the files in your computer to see the real colors and details. Thanks!

Good video Mate... 👍

I've been using my A6500 for the last 6 years and its be a phenominal camera. From Landscape and Nature photography to Motorsport Photography. It's been a camera that has gone above and beyond what I needed it to do. I've always wanted a Full Frame camera but couldnt warrant the cost, this A6700 has truly captured my attention and I definitely will be getting one sometime this year.
