A little trip with Lost Dog street band to a beautiful tree in Madison, TN near Nashville. It was the backyard of our mutual friend, Dan from Black Matter Mastering. They played a little tune and broke our hearts like always.

You can stream Lost Dog's tunes on Spotify (open.spotify.com/artist/6tkrc...) and all other streaming platforms. Be sure to catch them on tour this summer. Check out the tour dates at www.lostdogstreetband.com/.

  • My wife passed away Feb 29th, I was with her since highschool for 12 years. We sang this song together every day. I love you kaitlin with all my heart. Sad we didn't get to pick any ole road and start again. R.I.P

you know, if this was the kind of country they actually played on so-called country radio, perhaps I wouldn't have grown up assuming that I hated country...

My dad was an alcoholic and dealt with personal issues his whole life. He’d sit at the kitchen table, drink, and listen to music that would just make him feel worse. I think he’d like this song, but I think it would actually mean something to him and help him remember the good times in his life. It’s his brother’s birthday today, and I took my dad’s urn to his his brother’s grave to visit him. I played this song for him because I think he would’ve liked it. Hope you’re continuing to rest in peace dad, and make up for lost time with your family. I love you, and I miss you
  • "We were never made for love, our souls are far too old. But loneliness needs company and a lost dog needs a home" 🔥🔥
  • my good friend Jasmine died just 2 weeks ago. two months ago, just her and i were drinking beer and sharing some smoke. I asked her to listen to this song. immediately she stopped everything and gave this this her 100% attention. no body ever does that. and now i see just how much this song helps me connect with her and is a relatively good example of our relationship. thanks you two. and to everyone else, drive sober and tell the people you love that you love them every time you see them. better to be a dork than think they may have left not knowing.
  • I found these two, after freeing myself from the bounds of opiates, 8 long, disgusting years. I'm now going through releasing my guilt, and anger towards myself. Your music is such a good stepping stone for feeling better. Thank you, both.

The base drum is so simple but it adds so much dynamic.
  • "My grandmothers lullaby's used to sing me to sleep, hell I can't sleep now a days without liquid relief. Well if lullaby's were whiskey then my grandmas drinks were cheap! I can't afford, sleep anymore!!!"
  • This is country music. Wanderers. Artists. Those who have not a penny to their name, just doing what it takes. Men and women with pain so deep you can hear it in their music and see it in their eyes. Yet they push on. To entertain you and I. Thank you for this beautiful song!

I’ve sat on the kitchen floor, drunk and cried to this song too many times

Ben and I ran in the same crowd back in highschool days. Just about everytime I remember ever seeing him he had his guitar playing on the sidewalk with his hat out. Didn't know him very well but I always figured I'd see him playing professionally one day. Way to go Ben!

The part where he looks at the camera and says that “he can feel it in the way you look at me” is pure gold. Good stuff
  • @jimboking
This is a perfect example of outstanding American music; I am proud of these two musicians and wish they could get their art into more ears.

Usually never write any YouTube comments, but their music is really moving. Much love from Russia.

My wife has played in nationwide symphony orchestras and thinks you are the best violinist she has ever heard. Your music has a soothing feel to it that makes me remember the hills i grew up in. Thank you so much for making me cry. i am a hard man, as my father taught me to be, but your music made me cry when i first heard it.

This album is on a regular rotation in my house and truck. Driving around with my 9yr old daughter today....this song comes on, and she starts singing along. Made my heart happy to know she has an appreciation for simple, soulful music. I love all of your work, and glad I can share it with people around me.
  • @primoaurelius
Ive cried to almost every single one of their songs. Its so beautiful. It some how makes me feel so much better and so much worse at the same time.
  • Can’t believe this came out 8yrs ago and I’m just now hearing about this song… Love it…
