I can't believe he almost gave up his acting career because of the bad reviews received on this movie. It is simply a masterpiece.
  • The distance between Michael Corleone and Tony Montana, and how impeccably both were performed, is testament to how good an actor Al Pacino is.

Can't believe AL PACINO HAS ONLY ONE OSCAR He is a brilliant actor.

This movie was perfect. Soundtrack, script, acting, editing, cinematography, everything!
  • Scarface is the kind of movie, that if you accidently catch it on a TV, you'll end up staying and watching the rest.

This movie was so ahead of its time that it took certain people 10 years before they understood it! Masterpiece

The fact this movie received terrible reviews and also that when making Godfather, Pacino was constantly on the verge of being fired. To me speaks volumes of what an incredible and misunderstood actor genius Al is. He brought his unique style to the roles which to this day stand the test of time. My favorite actor of all time. It's a shame he didn't get more Oscars for his legendary roles.

You know how you know a great movie? When 37 years later it still holds up as a 'must see' movie!

"Fly pelican fly!" Still as hilarious as ever.
  • Happy 40th anniversary to one of my all time favorite movies. Scarface. Al Pacino excellent actor and legend. Thanks for posting this.
  • The fact that he made Tony such a likeable, watchable and even sympathetic character is a testament to his genius.

Al Pacino is the only actor I'd ask to get an autograph from, such a great actor.

Al has been immortalized for playing more then a few roles, but this by far is one of his most memorable and believe it or not, one of his most influential ones. I honestly can't believe he doesn't have more academy awards to his name. It's a sin. Great actor.

This interview shows that Pacino is truly a genius at play. His analysis and speech is so unique to the way he views his work and his duty to us as the audience. He takes it with such passion and meticulousness, yet the final product is a movie that can resonate with the simplest themes. Just like a genius would do, explaining science, music, art, etc. It is incredible to hear HIS point of view on the character, and it makes such clear sense both as to why we almost feel familiar with a guy as foreign as Tony Montana as well as feel distant to him. Al Pacino truly could not have played the character any better, nor anybody else in the history of the planet. A magnificent actor that goes much deeper than this movie’s gangster antics may seem at first glance.
