posting ghost jobs should be illegal. and wouldn't the other employees eventually know that ghost jobs were posted when no one is hired for a long time?!
  • When I took economics back in college my Professor said "How do you increase the number of jobs available? You cut full time jobs, turn them into multiple part time jobs, cut benefits since they are part time, and hire new blood constantly thinking they're get a full time position and cycle through them. You think this is crazy, but you'll find out that any company will do anything to ensure they can't pay you salary or benefits."

I've been ghosted 3-4 times in the last year. We've given these companies too much power and they're screwing us.
  • @ZuoCruz
Applied to hundreds and I think my personal data got leaked to a bunch of scam posts :/
  • @SarcasticJohn
I've submitted over 357 applications since June 2023. I got two offers March this year and one of them is a decently paying, hybrid, and most important of all. FREE DENTAL! I'M GETTING MY BRACES. I'm now a wannabee Data Engineer. Keep your heads up whoever is out there still looking for jobs. You'll get there sooner or later.
  • This isn’t just across industries in America, this is an international issue. As costs rise, jobs to in a matter of seconds and people with literal university degrees and diplomas are left jobless.

I was a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Piano Performance. I was repeatedly laid off and underpaid as an engineer and found that working as a piano teacher was much more lucrative in my area. 2020 shut down my piano studio so I starting working as a delivery driver. A few years later I got my CDL and drive large tanker trucks doing local work and get paid more than the average tech worker in my area with further room for higher paying jobs in the future. I’m working on my side businesses as well so that hopefully I can go back to working for myself. The trick is to just be patient, flexible and go where the opportunities are. It definitely doesn’t always work in this economy but that seems like the best strategy these days.

The only way I got a meaningful job was by personal connections. That's it. The relationships that you develop with college mates, coworkers, and others pays off. Because they help you get into the door. But personally, I'm done. I'll find another way to survive with the help of family. And I'm ever so grateful I never had the cojones to start a family. God spared me that hell. Amen.

This AI game is such a colossal waste of time and a glaring example of today's corporate incompetence. "Here use this tool to trick recruiters into thinking you spent more than 60 seconds applying and here Suzy from HR you use this AI tool so you can post on Facebook all day instead of doing your job and evaluating resumes." Like it is literally 2 liars giving tips on how to lie to each other. It's just sad and incredibly stupid.
  • @FangerZero
Ghost jobs SHOULD be illegal, and would be a great way for the government to get some fees maybe pay off some of their debt.
  • @matseddyjambon
I'm 35years old and graduated in summer 2023 in a program called multimedia integration in Canada. I specialized myself in UX/UI design and applied for jobs for 6 months. I gave up in january of this year, created a facelss YouTube channel and I was just accepted in the YouTube partner program two days ago. I kind of intergrated several things I learned at school into video production and it helped a lot. And yes, I used a bit of AI. So yes, you can use whatever you were taught at school for yourself.
  • @htwingnut
Fourth reason why they're not hiring is to boost stock prices. A company that is "hiring" looks like a job that is growing.
  • I have 3 college degrees...a masters in software engineering, a bachelors in business, and an associates in computer information systems, aws ccp certified and 8 years of professional programming experience....i can barely get companies to send me a snarky rejection letter saying 'I don't fit their requirements' for jobs that I have everything they are asking for. yes..i've worked the grill at mcdonalds, publix deli, night clerk at a hotel, grubhub, etc., all AFTER graduating and having years of experience. it is FUCKED UP OUT THERE...to say it will wear you down and make you just want to give up even trying to find a job is an understatement.

unemployed 2022 grad since end of 2023. anybody else in their mid 20's suffering? makes it hard to have a social life, date, can't afford to move out. I feel so alone. I've applied to thousands of jobs at this point, even had my resume professionally redone. I was an excellent student + never been unemployed in my life until now
  • Hey Tina and viewers. I am not in the tech industry, I am actually a truck technician. Been watching this channel for a few years now and think that this channel is some of the best content on YouTube. What I found with my trade is that resumes seldom work. You may have to resource a friend or some one that you know that already works in the trade you do, or an adjacent trade person related to your type of work. Most hires are hired because they have an in already. Someone who knows someone kinda thing. Not sure if your trade is the same as mine but a good chunk of my contracts are procured by reference. Keep your head up people, you can do it.
  • This video is worthy of a journalism award. I can't even imagine how long it took you to research all that and then edit this video. Beyond well done.
  • @Bengisu-dmr
nobody checks any CVs. I dont know how to find a job anymore. I ve sent many resume and CV and edit them specific to the job description and everything. There is not even a rejection email that is not automatic!
  • @CC-br9qg
Love how HubSpot is the sponsor of this video. Went three rounds with them before they sent generic rejection on a position they keep REPOSTING month after month. Terrible professionalism
