What's In My Watercolor Palette For 2024? Daniel Smith Dot Card Colors! 🎨 In this video I fill the inexpensive Meeden 33 well watercolor plastic palette with the colors from my 18 color Daniel Smith Dot Card. As I fill-er-up I talk about each color and how their arrangement on this palette helps with color mixing.

  • I love Daniel Smith watercolour my daughter always used them so I started out with them as well. Glad I have accumulated almost all the pigments over several years 👩🏻‍🎨😊

What a fantastic way to lay out your paints. I love the separation by how they mix idea... ❤

Thanks to YT algorithms, I found your channel and immediately subscribed. Highly creative way to organize. I would never think of that. But that is why you're the "Buffster" and I'm not!
  • @ianjackson5834
thanks for showing us this great new palette and colour set buff, enjoy your painting this year.
  • @50andCountingcom
New subscriber! I love the layout of your palette and the thought that went into it. Fascinating! I am just discovering Daniel Smith paint and have just ordered some of the colors you use. I had also been trying to find a solution to the palette dilemma but haven’t found one I thought worked well; I will be ordering the Meeden palette and trying your system. Thank you for this video!

I've just found this fascinating palette layout and would LOVE to see you demo using the colors you've chosen. The colors have been chosen and separated in completely new way to me, and I so appreciate it, and YES, please do a video on this palette! I've watched some of your other videos and would so appreciate it if you could one day post your favourite palette combinations. This seems so different from your "ultimate" palette, so I'm wondering what's new and what you've just had to keep. A lot of questions because your deep understanding of how colors behave is wonderful. Thank you for sharing so generously!

I love to watch palette videos! I have to try kyanite genuine. Sounds intresting.😊🤗
  • @pamelaburns1081
Thanks Buffy. I was about to ask about your palette and you beat me to it.
  • @Rockymtnbloom
This is a great idea! Would love videos on different color mixes that produce unique effects. And some colors push others, would love that topic as well.
  • @charmaine55
Also, are you concentrated on these 18 or will you show more combos...i love these by the way. Slowly adding them to my supplies
  • I’m wondering if I can use watercolors from other brands with the same name. Would they blend the same with other Daniel smith colors? For instance, I have Ultramarine blue from a different manufacturer. I love your art and am enjoying your videos. Sandy

Thank you for this video. It is always good to learn how others use and mix different paints. I believe I have more than 125 Daniel Smith paints 😱 and I love each and every one, even those close to other colors. I have a question. Did you create that swatch card or is that available somewhere? I have many DS dot cards and none look like that. Thank you!
