It's not too difficult to capture a fly and freeze it. What I'm more impressed with is how he managed to tie the string tight enough that it would hold but not too tight that it would kill the fly.

Take a long hair, tie it to one of the back legs of the fly, and here ya go, fly on a leash! And the funniest part is using rolling paper (cigarette paper, very thin and light) glued to the other end of the hair, to write/draw things, and let it free. And this, is one of the many reasons I’ve failed my studies/exams and now have a low wage work. But I had fun.
