Stevenson states it's worth noting how tough the union is about who they choose to endorse, and talks about how growing support of unions from the public has impacted how they bargain.     Lots of voters just want to know they are respected, they want to be ASKED. Famously Trump won some states in 2016 because he asked (with rallies) and Hillary did not. She assumed they knew she would help them, but people are more emotional than they are rational.
