Great take on Timmins. His 2008-2016 drafting is the primary reason that Bergevin era has ended

What went wrong. Just look at the draft record over the last decade. The writing was on the wall for a while. The last few drafts have looked better but still, they really haven't found the sort of home run picks they needed to ice a deep and competitive team.

I’m surprised no one is talking about Bergevin’s Connection to Chicago and that having a possible link

Steve and Jesse: chef’s kiss perfect. Poor Adam but you guys just nailed it

6:55 I love that Steve knows about r/antiwork and that this sub is known well enough to be referenced without explanation

They should just hire some guy who speaks French and knows enough hockey to bullshit his way though an interview to appease the Quebec media then just hire whoever they actually want to be the real but not public facing GM.

If Montreal wins the Stanley Cup this year the only person who should get a ring is the wizard that space jammed the 31 other teams.

I mean there's like 30 million on injured reserve, lost our number 1 center, number 1 Dman, and our number 1 goalie (however Allen isn't the problem). It was pretty obvious this year was going to be horrible lmao...

I dunno. He can race a car but can he manage a hockey team???
  • @duke3196
    No franchise center since Damphousse
  • @MrDecelles
There is also a STRONG desire to not pass to caufield. Or play caufield at his natural position.....
  • @carlosp8697
Nothing went wrong, they were lucky to make the Finals to begin with. Its was a balance of fortunate goals and Price standing on his head. With Price out of the lineup I predicted they wouldn't be a playoff team... sure a bit worse than originally though but this doesnt surprise me

I believe Jeff Gorton got a ring from Boston four years after he was let go.
  • What about the Globe and Mail covering Toronto and the Leafs? LGBFJB!

As a Habs fan, I'm really glad that bergevin is gone. This was way overdue. Next needs to be ducharme.

Timmins is gone! Woooo Timmins is finally gone! Raise the banner
  • They never belonged in the SCF. If they had played anything other than Canadian teams, they wouldn't be there.
