Next time someone rejects you, or tells you you're not good enough, just remember...a recording company once turned down the Beatles. The Beatles. The Beatles. The freakin BEATLES.

More than sixty years ago, Paul sang this great song at the Decca Audition being only nineteen years old. Today this man, probably the greatest musician alive and one of the greatest ever, turns eighty years old. Dear Paul, Happy Birthday and thank you for your music and everything that comes along with it!

One of my favorites. Only true Beatle fans know about this song. I love the Sheik of Araby too.
-
McCartney was ridiculously gifted. And worked hard. Good combination.
-
Should have been included on Anthology 1 as this is a great song.
-
Hands down one of Paul’s best early vocals! Can’t listen to this enough!
-
Paul, you make my heart melt with that voice~ You were barely 20 years old here.
-
Ohhhhh, I just love Paulie's voice in this one!!!!
-
There was something magical about their early days! Paul was so young here, but his voice was already excellent:)

Each time I look Into your eyes I see that there There Heaven lies And as I look I see the love of the loved Someday they′ll see That from the start My place has been Deep in your heart And in your heart I see the love of the loved Thought I've said it all before I will say it more and more Now that I′m really sure You love me And I know that from today I'll see it in the way That you look at me And say you love me So let it rain What do I care? Deep in your heart I'll still be there And when I′m there I see the love of the loved

I love his voice in this, 19-year old baby Paul already had such strong beautiful pipes!
-
God Paul has such a knack for beautiful melodies

It's amazing that even an obscure Beatles song like this is way better than what most songwriters can come up with.
-
so sad these days are so very long gone
-
I cannot understand English. However, this song deeply moves me to tears. Paul wholeheartedly tries to tell us something with his passionate shout, I think. I feel very soul-stirring and impressed with listening it.
-
I would melt if Paul, at this age, would serenade me with this. Ugh, his voice~
-
I love Paul's voice so much
-
Paul... Since always, the best
-
I'm seriously melting... Paul's voice is heavenly here...
