My dad met my mom, who is FIlipino, in the military as well, he is also african american. He passed on Dec 24th 2023, a few weeks before his 60th birthday, I miss him everyday. You remind me a little of him.

There’s been far less creative and genuine people who’ve certainly made themselves in this community, and I honestly believe that although you might be a little late to the game, this community is always changing yet it’s always characters like yourself who are always the mainstays. Hello Peppie (not sure if that’s how it’s spelt lol). I just wanted to thank you for sharing this story, my dad had to fight tooth and nail for me and my brothers. Sadly they left to live with their mom a few years ago and it’s been hard. You and your son just remind me of me and my dad and that’s a bond that never goes away. Take care and have a great day.
