I kinda wish I could find someone who shares my same deep feeling for musicals like in such depth. It gives me such a deep calming feeling that’s much more than just liking a song yaknow

There's a note at the end that makes me think my microwave is going off and it gets me every time

I love this song, they're voices complement each other.
  • me trying to hit her high note Phantom: SING FOR ME! Me: I AM TRYING!
  • I remember singing this in middle school choir and looking back I really wish we didn’t have to perform it because it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to hit some of those last notes. And I think a lot of parents were suffering from second-hand cringe as us 7th and 8th graders attempted (but failed) to sing the song at our choir concert. I also remember some girls in that class that were so-called “sopranos” that would say things while we were first learning the song like “oh, I hit the note!” No you didn’t. You squeaked your way to the top girl 🤦‍♀️.
  • In sleep he sang to me In dreams he came That voice which calls to me And speaks my name And do I dream again For now I find The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside my mind Sing once again with me Our strange duet My power over you Grows stronger yet And though you turn from me To glance behind The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside your mind Those who have seen your face Draw back in fear I am the mask you wear It's me they hear My spirit and my voice in one combined The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside my mind In all your fantasies You always knew That man and mystery Were both in you And in this labyrinth Where night is blind The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside my mind Sing My angel of music He's there The Phantom of the Opera Sing (aah) Sing (aah) Sing for me (aah) Sing my angel of music (aah) Sing for me (aah) I have brought you To the seat of sweet music's throne To this kingdom where all must pay homage to music Music You have come here For one purpose And one alone Since the call when I first heard you sing I have needed you with me To serve me To sing for my music My music
  • The part where the phantom of the Opera says sing my angel of music and then Christine sings in an operetic voice is very similar to Ursula telling Ariel to sing and then she obeys.

I love the Phantom of the Opera!!! Me and my sister have a joke for the scene when Christine takes off the mask and wig it goes like this: Mask? Ripped Wig? Snatched Hotel? Trivago
  • I was obsessed with this when I was 12 and 13. I would sing Christine’s part, (and when it got super high, I would just turn it off) while wearing this white nightgown. At phantom’s part I would just look around and pretend to be all scared? I was a special child Edit- guess what guys I’m 15 and I still do this :)))))

Me after litening to P.O.T.O for a week: DAAAAA DA DA DA DA DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
  • I just wanted to deep dive on youtube, but I just stumbled upon this and I don't know why I'm here. But I mean hey, this is pretty cool.
  • I remember my drama teacher let us watch this musical in high school simply because I requested it and it fit perfectly with our lesson. I was happy, as this is one of my favorite musicals. Everyone in my class looked at me like I was strange
  • @tabithag3052
Christine's voice though😍 and how she carries that last bit, damnnnn😂

When I was a kid, whenever I'd visit my aunt's house, she'd prepare a bath for me every night like I was royalty. She would fill the tub with hot water, leave a towel and my clothes laid out for me, etc. A big difference from being at home where I had to do it all myself. But the final touch was putting in a cassette tape of musical songs. My fair lady, phantom of the opera, and others. She also preheated the room with a space heater so it wouldn't be cold when I got out. It always made me feel so comfortable, safe, and loved. As an adult, these decades later, hearing these songs still brings me back to that cozy feeling and makes me feel more relaxed and happy.
  • I completely forgot how much my mom played phantom of the opera songs until I listened to this, I had literal flashbacks to my childhood.

I found an abandoned theater and sung this (Christine's part) and let's just say i scared the crp out of another person exploring there😂
