It's quite amazing how many compositions there are. And glad to see homage to ling bane styles and marine tank pushes. They've definitely maintained the army movement aspect of RTS. It's funny how there were several games that ended up in a base trade and the pace of the game slows all the way back down after they both go from 4 bases to 1 base. That happens sometimes in SC2 too! And all within less than 10 min per game. They weren't joking when they said they distilled this particular aspect out of RTS.
  • This is fantastic from a competitive perspective because you can get a best of 5 very quickly which will reward the best mechanical players. And since the matches are short (and action packed), the audience will be invested throughout the whole game. What a great idea for an RTS
  • This game looks insanely fun. Very good design. The fact that you can just make all your units at once means you aren't punished for controlling your units too long, it also prevents people from camping production. Very action packed. I saw more fights in a 10 minute game than some hour long matches in starcraft.

As some one who loves star craft but has no time to play long matches, this looks actually fun tug of war type game.

This is good to watch. All the units look very unique and got catchy recognisable names

This game is looking really fun. I really appreciate that it inherits the TTK from SC2, nice and quick, snappy fights, feels like the units are actually shooting weapons and not wet noodles tickling the enemy. Imo looks and feels much better, even if really challenging to play for older people like me! But I'm quite happy bumbling around in lower leagues and having fun with RTS games nowadays.

This game has a lot going for it. Total casuals can play it, but top players will still dominate. The unit movement is great from what I've seen, and the units are cute as hell. Zero balance whine as well. Maybe it will work or maybe not, but damn I'm impressed with the bold effort.

Bro i feel like this game was made for me. Simplify the econ and tech and make it all about fast paced action with still a ton of strategic depth. Pretty excited for this one.

an hour and a half is not long enough and I'm only half way through, this game is addicting to watch

The fog of war hiding the terrain as an observer is weird

Back in my day this game was called rock-paper-scisors. With extra steps and micro.

FYI PiG based on their website they're calling the resources "matter" and "energy" now. Easier to remember I think.
  • Later this month don't expect me to leave my house for about 3 days, it's reserved to stormgate already
