“Jen” reminds me so much of one of my first bosses! She acted very nice on the outside but was deliberately exploiting her employees and young interns. I worked for her for a whole year before I finally stood up for myself and quit! To this day I was still never paid for my last MONTH of work. It was a hard lesson for me too that not all “nice” people are actually nice. And having boundaries does not make you “mean” or “egotistical”!

This women was doing all of this on purpose, not feeding you, keeping you up late, forcing you to share secrets. She was breaking you down in hopes of gaining more control over you so she might be able to take advantage of you if you showed her that you have real talent

I'm kinda like you where I tend to avoid confrontations where possible (my mom is the opposite so i think its a result of balancing that lol) but growing up u realize some things are really just unfair and wrong, and if you could just say something about it you can totally flip a situation over. Still working on it myself. I think it's a form of "boundaries". Thanks for the video despite taking a break for yourself ❤
