About This Video:
In this video I alone 45 days build my best bushcraft log cabin ever in the woods without power tools.
All the logs used in the construction are dead fallen trees that I collected around the construction site.
I decided to scrape the logs with a scraper, because the top layer was covered with mold and rot.
As a method of connecting the logs, I chose to join them in the direct connection with dowels. I thought it would be enough for a small hut. I put moss between the logs.
The roof was made of thinner logs and covered with a thick layer of moss for insulation.
I left an opening in the roof for a chimney (closer to winter I plan to install a wood stove inside the hut for heating and cooking).
In a small window I installed plexiglass.
I attached the door with steel shutters.
As a bed, I made a deck of thin poles.
This was the end of the first part of the construction.
Expect new videos with the continuation of my best bushcraft cabin in the forest!

Congratulations, you are the first "Bushcrafter" I have seen smart enough to build a log lifter A frame to move heavy logs through the forest, rather than just trying to drag them. Also pretty clever using the tree wedged up as a center roof suppor. And thank you for not making us watch you cook food as a filler to make video longer

Hello, Asbjorn Olsen! I started to watch your videos some time ago, And what I most like on this and especially on your work, is the collaborating with the nature during your making the cabins, shelters or the dugouts, no pins, concrete or another industrial developed materials, just the wood, stones, moss, clay, a few handtools and the positive attitude to use everything what is usable anyway without damaging something which is alive and can be alive, I mean the fallen logs or the free stones to make your work perfectly. Keep up this job and your backpack still filled very craftsmanshiply with everything you need to survive in the wild and nature. Have a nice bushcraft! Your viewer Paul 😊
