I was waiting for Murray, and waiting and waiting ..... 😮 He was savage in both tests in SA.

I feel like Maxime Lucu has been sliding a bit recently. He is not a big game player, simple as that. He is very, very good but he is lacking an X-Factor. His saving grace is that he is a "management" 9 where France has a wealth of very good "attacking" 9s, but I expect Jauneau or Le Garrec to quickly take his spot (and Serin's for that matter). Le Garrec in particular thrives in big games, he just doesn't has had the team to show it yet. As for people being riled by Dupont...a vast majority of people enjoy him, just like a vast majority of people enjoyed Wilkinson, McCaw or Habana. It's mostly a vocal minority of fans - who, from my personal experience, come from one single country - who always want to criticize anything he does with exactly one argument to attack him (hasn't won the RWC). Best to just nod politely and let them shake their fists at the clouds at this point.

Very surprised Conor Murray isn’t on here, he won every game he started in South Africa this season. No small feat.

Omitting Connor Murray feels criminal, especially considering your metric of credit in the bank and his performance in the second SA test. Such a legend and still has something to give. Such a solid player still.

Casey silenced the critics in south africa. He played great and just needs more time on the pitch. JGP is in his prime but itll make sense to give CC more time over the next few years. Special mention to conor murray who really played a brilliant game in durban and reminded me why he is the legend people say he is. He seems to play very well against south africa.

The one position that has no competition for the number 1 spot
  • A big fan of Jamieson Gibson-Park since watching him at schoolboy level. Had a few good years at the Blues but was ditched and just got into the Hurricanes. Not sure what happened when he arrived at Leinster but it bloody well worked,
  • When England came down here to Nz I thought Alex Mitchell was outstanding!
  • Some disagree about Dupont ? Go buy you eyes pals. Number one by far !!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
  • @annger8163
No Murray what are you thinking! He was amazing in SA.

I think what Dupont is having to endure right now is a testament to him being the best in the world right now and near the best of all time. For everyone to be so riled up and talk about him the way they are right now is like how people get passionate abiut Messi and Ronaldo, it’s a level of brilliance that gets people animated

Thank Tim for recognising Casey for the player he his, chuffed he’s in your top 10.☘️☘️
  • great list. keep an eye on Nolann Le Garrec, he is really good, but still young, so confirmation is expected
  • In the spirit of neutrality, I'll agree with you regarding Alex Mitchell. As hard as it is to admit that as a Bok Supporter. I'd actually place him above our 2 on your list. Alex has a high ceiling as well. If he develops his all around game he reminds me of Fourie Du Preez in stature and style.
