The farmland arc proved that anime can thrive without fight scenes, it’s deep writing, themes, characters, all of it is done so perfectly

Vinland Saga is an all-timer, a classic. And if you disagree with me, that's fine. I have no enemies.
  • @I.K.Slash.
Thorfinn smiling at episode 10 when he and Einar pushed down the last tree was so satisfying
  • @novastar888
The scene where Thorfinn had to crawl up a hole while holding all the people he's killed was the most powerful emotional moment I have ever experienced while watching a show.
  • @YungzR6
Charlie talking to his dog and the dog responding back by squeaking his toy is just perfect
  • @BadTakeRisan
Seeing Thorfinn's development from a crude, vengence-filled kid to a peaceful, patient man was truly amazing.

This is facts. Should be one of the most talked about anime’s right now. So glad you’re raising awareness for this masterpiece
  • When Askeladd asked Thorfinn "How will you live long after I'm gone?" As he was dying that genuinely changed me.

An anime dedicating a whole season for character development is something that deserves insane levels of respect.
  • @nacho-bk3lm
Arnheid's story is one of the most tragic and heartwrenching story and it sets up thorfinn's development and motivations perfectly

You have to be a certain level of maturity to appreciate season 2. People who haven’t experienced a lot yet won’t be able to appreciate a hero rectifying his actions rather than constantly going to the next unjustified slaughter

I did really like the duality of Canute and Thorfinn this season too. They're perfect foils for each other.
  • The most beautiful thing about the season was how the author defined courage. That shit hit deep. I also like the emphasis on the little things, which is very in theme since Thorfinn also gets to learn to appreciate those in this season.

As a Vinland Saga Manga reader, I knew a lot of people were going to be turned off by season 2 and its drastic change of pace. Which is unfortunate, because the story that unfolds is very beautiful. Makoto Yukimura is a very insightful individual, and his art is quite amazing. I'm glad that he's able to share it with the rest of us.

Vinland Saga season 2 is the best piece of media that I’ve consumed this year. This show absolutely blew me away with its storytelling, it’s music and the message behind it. This story actually encouraged me in a way that few pieces of media ever have. This story makes you want to be a better person. It’s absolutely beautiful to see and it deserves the highest of praise.

Season 2 was what made this my favourite anime. This isn't an anime for 13 - 15 year olds. This has to be advertised to an older demographic, anime audience are mostly into shonen and aren't matured enough to appreciate and enjoy this masterpiece
  • I enjoy Charlie leaving his pets in his videos, even if they interrupt his train of thought and break his flow. He just goes with it and it's nice. I like that.
  • Gotta love when the pets give their thoughts on the news too

It's surprising so many people were taken off guard by Season 2. From the very beginning, it was always "you have no enemies"
  • I have never liked a show so much that I picked up reading it. I was surprised at how the story changes the next arc(after season 1), but it made me really think deeply about my own life, and how I want to live. Season 3 is going to bring GREAT things for the show too. I cannot wait to see more of this story animated.
