My grandfather wrestled a little bit in New Zealand and Australia in the late 60s. After he passed away I found a picture of him wrestling and noticed he was getting choke slammed by a young Andre the Giant. Makes me proud.

Andre was wrestling. His choice to put Hulk over in WM3 probably made the WWE billions over the next decade alone. He helped turn the business into a phenomena that consumed the nation.

Only the second time I have seen Vince tear up the other is when he talked about his dad so hell yes Andre was special........

WM3 was electrifying. I was there, a week before my 15th birthday. Without a doubt when Hogan slam Andre, all 80,000 people in attendance screams was so loud you thought a thunderstorm was inside the Pontiac Silver Dome. Witness a torch being passed to Hogan and the WWF becoming a Global Entity in one night. Thank you Andre the Giant. Rest easy🙏🏾

what andre did at wrestlemania 3 , giving back to the business , passing the torch to hogan !! what a glorious thing andre did !! because of that , all wrestlers today have a job !! andre was is and always will be pro wrestling !! long live THE GIANT !! RIP BIG GUY!!!!!!

I remember watching WM3 on ppv back when I thought wrestling was real, nothing will ever match the excitement, the tension, and electricity in the air leading up to the starting bell. Stuff of legends.

Andre the Giant. The man, the myth, the legend! Mere mention of his name and Mr. Vince McMahon himself breaks into tears. Even in death, Andre's impact on the WWE and wrestling in general remains immeasurable!!
