Just this week I started my own handmade antinet (I made the boxes and index dividers out of cardstock) and today I already made mistakes in the numbering. This video came at just the right time, since this month I was able to let go of that perfectionism that tied me to procrastination and now I realize that in the future I will cherish these rookie mistakes. Thanks for your content, Scott. Greetings from Colombia!

Top notch video, Scott! The numbering system was definitely a major hangup for me for a long time. It took plenty of meditation to come to terms with it. Your Antinet is an inspiration for others, and so is your attitude about the power of analog knowledge work.

Yup—getting myself this guide. Appreciate you, Scott! Glad I found the channel before I built up my own collection any further. (As of now, I wrote the subject in the corner and called it a day. “Writing”, “philosophy”, “history”, etc)

I think i finally understand, "It's like organized chaos." The topics are more like abstract buckets to fill, pour out, mix, and remove from. We move the knowledge around by abstractly referencing them with signposts i.e. ExRef markers.

This is all useful stuff, and I have a rough idea of the numbering scheme I want to go with. I'll be ordering my first batch of cards this weekend. 🙂
  • Just enough to order the book. I don’t think the idea can explain in a static way, or through an outline. What could be better is to use a spider diagram. And at each point of the diagram number the relevant cards based on the branches. Then show snapshots of the evolution of this diagram. Buy the book

É uma pena esse material não estar disponível no Brasil.

Enlightening video, thank you! Is there a significance to the colored index cards, if so, could you please explain it or send a link for a video that covers the topic?

Worthwhile video - I have anxiety around the numbering, and seeing your examples here helps! Thank you! However, please stop the "shit weasel" routine. It sounds juvenile and detracts from all that you have achieved, which is amazing. Different strokes for differ folks - you don't need to be putting down those who favour a different approach.
