You’re absolutely believable and trustworthy when you grab your belly with both hands in fond memory of some past culinary delight/experience. You bear all the right credentials when you step up to the plate to talk about food and beverages; I don’t know if I would necessarily trust some skinny person’s culinary suggestions. And believe me, my friend, I’m NOT getting fresh or being sarcastic. I’m just saying it like it is — you have to love and enjoy food, if you’re keen on making culinary recommendations. 👏🏻👍🏻
  • Tip from a local: The best poutines are in Quebec, away from urban centers. Avoid big food chains (try the small shacks with home made fries), and make sure the cheese is super fresh (made on the same day you are eating it, it should make a 'sqweek' sound when you bite in it). I usually buy my cheese directly from the factory, and make my own poutine with home made fries... It's the best!!!

As a Canadian I love getting special lattes from a place called Second Cup. Another good alternative to Tim Hortons is Country Style, love their breakfast sandwiches. As for fast food poutine I really enjoy Harvey’s.

Very accurate video in my opinion. Covered all the bases. KD, Ceasars, butter tarts, Nanaimo bars, and poutine is pretty much my diet . Also, as a BC resident, you did a great job of covering West Coast cuisine. We love our seafood and craft beer!
  • I think you should even do an entire episode on the food in Quebec. We have a lot of good food!

When in Montreal one much try the bagels. The obvious question is which is better, Montreal bagels or New York bagels? However, the real debate is who makes the best Montreal bagel, Fairmount or St-Viateur?

Ketchup chips is something uniquely Canadian I am told.

Mark as a Canadian living in America here is somethings I get when I go home, I get Lobster Rolls, Donair’s, Swiss Chalet and Fish and Chips
  • Nothing is better about living in Ottawa than the beavertail stand on George St.

Canadian candy bars are the best! Mint Aero bars, Cadbury Fruit n Nut and McIntosh caramel, just to name a few.
  • @GB_Reloading

  • French language is interesting to me. I can remember studying French in High School. It's weird how their is a street in France named my last name. Most of my family is from Louisiana. And most people from Louisiana have French Ancestry.

There are two kinds of bacon: back bacon and belly bacon. English and Canadians eat back bacon. Americans and Canadians eat belly bacon. Canadians have the best of both. No mention of Canadian cheeses? They make great cheese.
