What happened to Miyako and her parents afterwards: to put it short, they became outcasts after everyone found out what they did to Haruka and the rumors about Haruka's a evil woman and Akira's a playboy was a lie. They moved out of this town after everyone gave them a cold menacing glare after they told lies to everyone. Miyako and her parents got what she deserves. This is what happened when favoritism destroys your own family.

Can we all please agree that Haruka’s parents committed the worst type of favoritism…I mean they adopted and were pretty decent Adoptive parents…but they had a biological daughter of their own. They instantly began treating her like a servant and convenient scapegoat.9:45

Akira shutting down Miyako and her parents and declaring his intent to marry Haruka and not giving them anymore financial support was just so satisfying. That's karma for playing extreme favoritism. Haruka is much better off with Akira as the two marry and start a new family together.
