  • It's criminal how underrated this game is and even more criminal that they didn't make a successor to it.

This game still looks amazing! And the cockpit view is just mind-blowing...
  • @PassioneMotori
If only this game was more simulating and less arcade… it would be perfect!

What Driveclub did was amazing. Driving experience especially with HUD off is so surreal. I’ve never played a racing game that feels so ambient and real to drive; and that includes Sim racers such as Gran Turismo Series. Although the physics aren’t as realistic, but the graphics, lighting, sense of speed, cockpit view, Tarmac, weather effects, physics, sound effects and locations were top notch. It’s a shame the Studio was closed.

Imagine if there was a sequel to Driveclub, but it's open world and more sim-like in comparison to Forza. It'd be the perfect competition to Horizon.

As a Forza fan, must admit Driveclub's Graphics, and cockpit view. Looks amazing due to the fact that it came several years ago.

What I love about Driveclub is the sensation of speed that other racing games can't achieve. Maybe it's due to the camera shake?
  • imagine a new driveclub in 2022 it would probably look insane as shit with the new tech that can be applied.

These graphics are absurd 25 years ago. No one imagined this. Now imagine how this will look 25 years later. :3
  • I really wish they kept making this game. It honestly had the potential to be one of the best racing series.
  • I played it to death (excuse the unintended pun). Best racing game experience I have ever had in 40 years playing games. The most astounding thing about driveclub for me was that rather than racing past static scenery it exists in what feels like a real living world. Stop and take a look around. Use the photo mode. The physics model is second to none, the replays and photos show this off best. If you can run it at 60 fps,and you can with the right set up, you won’t see better. Don’t even mention the real weather, astonishing. If you want attention to detail this is as good as it gets.

texture wise and anti-aliasing definitely not better but lighting , rain , snow , night time and sense of speed are definitely better

This game is a pure passion project. From the effects of the weather, to fully animated cockpit view, to even the surprisingly realistic gearboxes. This 430 scuderia has one of the fastest single clutch gearboxes ever produced. You can see the 60-100ms delay between upshifts. Look at a dct car in driveclub it has seamless shifts. Modern titles such as Forza, and GT do not even attempt this distinction. Not even assetto corsa gets this correct with dct cars having a shift delay and shock.

They should make the rain physics/effects as a standalone plugin that any game can use, a bit like SpeedTree.
  • @divefraggle
Nice to see Driveclub getting some much deserved love. It is beyond beautiful.
  • I never played this game but I already love the fact they completely spin the wheel with both hands as needed and in forza it’s just a half twist and feels unsatisfying
  • @TomDobo1992
It sure does have better effects and sounds than Horizon 5 but it is an aging game now and clear weather makes it show its age. The extreme weather effects if what makes this game look so good and has yet to be replicated in any other game since. Driveclub was a flawed game but it holds a special place in our hearts and i wish it got fair treatment but because of bugs it failed.
  • @bruhda.a
this looks so thrilling, has qualities of nsf, forza and gt. The incredible sense of speed and lighting makes coming out of tunnel iterrifying. No one would complain if a game with these graphics came out this year.
  • @waynecuff3140
Driveclub is absolutely amazing to this day!! The weather effects especially are still the best I've seen. And yes I have played Forza 5, which yes looks amazing. But as a game still prefer Driveclub. This game needs a PS5 patch.
