He’s been with his current wife (they started dating) around the time of Kerplunk. The song “2000 Light Years Away” was written for her. She’s not just someone woman he married later.

2:56 Dookie was not Green Day’s debut! It was their 3rd album. Their first album came out in 1990 (39/Smooth).

She, Sassafras Roots, and Whatsername" Green Day are my all time favorite band so i know all their songs really well but im sorry, none of these 3 songs would be considered their "best known songs". She was at least a single off dookie that had decent radio play but SR was one of the least popular songs from the album?

American Idiot was the album I listened to in my mid teens and felt really close to my heart, with my mother kicking me out of her suburban house after one to many screwups, and my dad who had been divorced sense I was 8 took me in near downtown, and helped me go through the emotional breakdowns I had in the months following my mom kicking me out. Particularly, Boulevard of Broken Dreams really encapsulated town I felt, where I felt like I had no one to confide in, and just not knowing what I should do. Now, it reminds me of how I have grown as a person, and try to smile more often.

I listen to a lot of music, country, rap, rock, classical, pretty much everything. And Green Day is my favorite. They are amazingly talented and have some amazing lyrics
