Migrant crossings continue to plunge; on track to see 2020 lows

July is expected to have the lowest level of illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border since the fall of 2020, during the Trump administration, and the fifth consecutive month of declining migrant apprehensions, according to internal Department of Homeland Security data.
