QR Codes always seemed like magic to me. Like, how can a blob of pixels contain information???Luckily for you, I am here to explain how QR Codes work, in 90 seconds.

Fun facts: QR stands for Quick Response and barcode is storing data in 1d while QR code stores in 2d. Also it was found by some car manufacturers (i think Hyundai was one of them) and then it got so popular that we use it today almost everywhere Bonus: barcode is called this way because well... Its a code in a bar

There is also an important step at the end, the black and white pixels that contain the data must be XoR-ed with one of the 8 mask patterns in order to minimize the appearance of fake alignment patterns (the black square inside a white square inside a black square) that might randomly appear from storing the data

With today's smartphones and better cameras and processing, QR codes are so much easier to use. When people started to use them in late 2000's to early 2010's they SUCKED. You had to align them at just the right angle and even then you have to hold very, very still for the code to scan. It was so bad.
