Nicki really gave all her emotions on Pinkprint and 90% of the world didn't care and ignored it. Then, in 2017 & 18, blogs had the nerve to say Nicki doesn't ever make emotional/mature music. Hence why Nicki went off on that blogger, Wanna, cause that particular woman has been talking down on Nicki for years before Nicki went in on her. Pinkprint was a whole mature, emotional project that got slept on.

I don’t think enough people understand how much abuse Onika has been through during her life, as a child she had to endure abuse from her parents (her father attempting to murder her mother by burning their family house down) and even in the relationships she’s had there has been elements of abuse from safaree&meek etc.. yet she still remains a strong woman despite everything she has and continues to go through.

The album first 3 songs are about her and safaree bad break up, him abusing her and her protecting herself from it. She then talks about her cousin being shot and killed on all things go. She then talks about her little brother and her aborted baby. She says her cousin and the baby is her brother’s guardian angels looking over him. She talks her former pill addiction and how she almost died on the crying games. so this is her most personal project to date

GRAND PIANO. Just give it another listen again. A lot of people thought her live performance of it was fantastic. Just check it out, a lot of singing teachers on youtube reacted to it and were saying how her vocals sounded super good.

Imagine how well The Pinkprint would do if it released now? She was always ahead of her time, and back when it released, streaming really wasn’t that big. If it did amazing back in 2014 then it would do flawless in 2020

Fun Fact: Katy Perry originally sung and wrote the chorus on get on your knees! But after the success of bang bang Nicki wanted Ariana in the song instead! But Nicki didn’t just throw her off the track, there was a chance Katy could stay or go. Also she then collaborated on swish swish anyway! Also that’s why Nicki mentions Perry in one of her parts in the song

Personally I think this is the best Nicki Minaj’s album.
