What a glorious machine this is. 😍 I rather like the wood trim contrasting against the dashboard and door cards.
  • An excellent review Sir and Mr Coleman's Volvo is a Beauty, i need a Volvo in my life again, but I have bought a new Fleet member....
  • An amazing car! One of the best motors I’ve ever driven - a former boss had a brand new one - I’d look for any excuse to borrow it. The engine was superb, lusty, flexible, but very smooth. For a large estate car it handled really well - you could really hustle it along. Sport mode on the automatic ‘box made it very swift. It also had a wonderful, comfortable and well built interior. I have looked at buying one as a daily driver, but I think they’ll be difficult to source parts for, and rather thirsty!

It does make a lovely sound, sir. Takes me back to my P1 v70...plastics not the best in those and were greatly improved in the p2s.
  • Absolutely stunning car, Mr Lloyd, and a great review. I have a sneaking suspicion that you would like one of these in Olive Green Pearl with Beige leather interior.

Good Evening Sir!! That is definitely a „I want one“ moment 😊😊

Someone just down the road from me has one of these as a stable mate for his mk3 firebird. Both looked lovely and as H.G. Wells Martians did with earth, I regard them with envious eyes.

A passenger airbag was optional on the 900 Series. It was also on the 850 and S/V70.

I'd imagine parts availability would be an issue. I just scrapped off my 2005 S80 D5 SE Lux manual (saloon) because I needed an automatic due to a disability, and also many parts had to be sourced direct from Volvo in Sweden. In fact I never did get a replacement for the in-car entertainment system (HU850) despite searching extensively through dealerships, eBay and even an email direct to Volvo in Gothenburg. I'm sad at letting it go because it was quiet, comfortable and economical (something which the replacement definitely isn't).

A good solid RWD Joseph. Did I notice a 3 gear Borg Warner ? Not the most economical vehicle to run I fear. Ideal for a low mileage runabout if you can afford the road tax.
  • R.I.P. Volvo. No more estates and the last ICE car has left the production line 🤬
  • @Dino_Dad.
What a glorious car sir! The colemans have very good taste. Been looking here already but just not available much here. This has really given me Wagon ( estate bug again ) Suits you Sir 🫡
