"Go to the f**king gym." 🤣 I wish the fresh rice cakes portions at my Korean market weren't so big, I can never finish them before they go bad so I always end up buying frozen rice cakes.
  • Aaron and Claire, your recipes have helped me immensely. I am married to a Korean and I made this Tteokbokki recipe recently for us and it was a hit! Thank you for making Korean food accessible for us English speakers while not sacrificing authenticity. You guys are god sends. Thank you!!

    🤣"Go to the F***ing gym!" I LOVE IT!🤣

Claire's passion for tteokbokki comes through. I use Japanese dashi stock as a short cut. Otherwise I use kelp and anchovy to make the broth.

My wife is Filipina, normally doesn't like spicy food, but she loves tteokbokki when I make it for her. I use the little red filipino hot dogs in place of fish cake. Honey as the sweetener for the sauce, as well as a heaping tablespoon of minced garlic in the sauce. I also include about half a roughly chopped yellow or sweet onion. Tteokbokki is easily my favorite Korean recipe because it's so delicious and so easy to make. I like to keep any leftover tteokbokki sauce and use it over rice, or sauce chicken wings with it, or even use it on ribs in place of BBQ sauce.
  • I absolutely love all of your videos. I make tteokbokki often because of all your great tips and recipes..we also eat it with mozzarella cheese corn dogs ..We have a local Korean market and I find everything there. Thank you so much for always sharing all these delicious recipes 🤗🤗🙏🏽

I’ve been watching Jinny’s Kitchen all week so I’ve been craving some authentic street style Tteokbokki. This being today’s video is obviously a sign I need to make some this weekend!
  • My son just last week got on this kick where he needed to have Tteokbokki! I went to our International store here & its small but mighty, & I got the frozen kind. NOW...I am going to try yours! I love the feelings when Claire uses all of the enunciation when she is speaking about your food & the old! It speaks volumes!!! ✌🏼

  • I love it how you can tell Claire is classy, but girl also loves a corn dog.

I was JUST looking for a good recipe and it’s like you’re magic!
  • I have made this in the past and it’s come out absolutely delicious. There are actually all ingredients in your Korean market for this to be made at home and eat it all up. Don’t worry about getting fat.
  • Hi, can you please keep making these videos? I struggle with disordered eating and your "you might consider taking out this BUT" really helped me. thank you so much
