Carefree is a great one for Vampires. If you pick the weakness where they get tense due to being out in the sun, the Carefree trait wipes that away so you basically have one less weakness.

The first ones I always go for are Read Faster, Clean Faster, and Seldom Sleepy. Cuts down on the boring stuff they need to do.

I like to use Heat Acclimated, Cold Acclimated, and Waterproof as traits for roleplaying. I'll have Sims who were born in a warm world heatproof, Sims who were born in a world where it rains a lot waterproof, etc.
  • Beguiling is a MUST if you're doing the 100 Baby Challenge. It makes seducing sims so much faster! Great kisser is super OP when it comes to building Charisma and it's severly overlooked in my opinion. I used that in my Rose generation of Not So Berry to boost my charisma because it was a requirement for that generation and I was sick of getting the Vain Street fame quirk from using the mirror constantly.
  • Personally, since I tend to look at my Sims as characters in stories I'm making up, I like to treat Reward Traits as almost like an alternate form of Personality Traits. For example, I'll give Gym Rat to a more athletic Sim, Heat Resistance or Cold Resistance to Sims that grew up in warmer or cooler climates respectively, Waterproof to Merfolk, Marketable to painters and writers, Beguiling and Great Kisser to a charismatic and flirtatious Sim, etc. Although, after watching this video, I might give the Savant Trait to any Sim that has the Satisfaction Points for it, regardless of what kind of character I imagine that Sim as, because it sounds super useful to any Sim

My sims are either painters or writers, so the creative visionary trait is a must have for me. Both for the storytelling and the money
  • @lthomas6022
I use the observed trait all the time and exactly for the reason you stated.
  • @SageArdor
That army of angry gnomes in the intro gives me life.

I love the friendly bug that gives infants extra traits they shouldn't have. For example, I have an infant with the steel bladder trait and she never soils herself.

Shameless is also great for haggling with market stalls. Great for any money related challenges, because you can keep haggling until they break down and give you a discount.

I usually try for the Savant trait on all my sims, a great all around trait. Thanks for the video! Always so helpful! πŸ€—πŸ‘

Savant is a great all-arounder, but I never knew Great Kisser was so good for building Charisma! How curious. . .and yeah, I'm with you -- I'd rather have the slowed need decay over completely stopped. My vampire Sim in my current main save file never needs to sleep, and it can be a little hard finding ways to keep them entertained sometimes!

Usually, I hoard all my points and try to get one of the Forever traits but I think I’ll try these rewards instead next time!

I'm currently doing the SuperSim challenge by James and I have never had a sim with so many traits and satisfaction points in my entire life playing the Sims lol. I started her as a toddler and she's now so OP, it's ridiculous. But it's a great way to play/use traits and rewards I never usually play with in my normal gameplay. Nevertheless, my absolute favorite traits that I always get with all my sims are always welcome and waterproof. I literally can not play a sim without those traits, it always bugs me that you e.g. can't cook with a friend in their home because they deem it improper. Observant is also really neat. The traits I never use are the most expensive need based ones because with them the gameplay just gets suuuper boring.

I always forget about these, thank you!

Thanks for the video! My top 3 are: Needs No One (...I hate talking to that Tina Tinker-whatshername lady...), Storm Chaser, and Waterproof. I can live without everything else. πŸ‘πŸΎ
