Cool find! I had one similar to this when I was growing up. The battery was nice to have in the event that power went out during the night. This would ensure that the alarm went off at the right time so I could make it to school on time!

Nice radio clock you have!, i like the fake wood of the 1970's. I have several 1970's vintage cb radios that have fake wood on them!. Keep collecting!!. 😊

That was a good clock radio back in the day.

If I remember right clock radios like that had a battery backup that kept the time when the power went out so you may want to replace that

My sister had a clock like close to the shower room were there was high humidity. LOL some of the digits would no longer light up.
