Rodman is on fire

My biggest takes of the game: 1) the US played with patience you never saw under Andonovski. When nothing came of a counterattack, the ball was passed back to the fullbacks. The team finally figured out having the lead, they didn't have to rush forward "like their hair was on fire" (Julie Foudy). That was all Emma Hayes; 2) Germany is their best on corners, but had only one all game. I doubt that happened by chance. More Emma Hayes; 3) Naeher won't get much credit after she was either screened or caught out of position on the German goal, but she saved at least 3 point blank shots. The game could have been much different had they not been handled. Well done, ladies!

The backline for the USWNT still scares me, but that trio upfront is definitely the USWNT's future and for the next WC!
