  • For an average guy who has seen these men's names on the buildings in my city and never gave it a second thought until now. Thanks History Channel, I learned a lot today.

This is the History Channel we loved and adorned 💯❤️❤️❤️.. Bring it BACK
  • This gentleman is an excellent Narrator. I like everything he does to make this video understandable for everyone to see, hear and understand the complexities of business, and how it all runs to benefit each other.

This is a phenomenal documentary! Why don't they teach this history in school? I had no idea, and how inspiring these stories truly are!!
  • @ILuvHuskys
Seeing this series so far. Government needs to take a look at this history and realize the same thing is happening again.

These were really good shows I wish the history channel and other channels would focus more on making more programming like this instead of trying to avoid or destroy history they need to be teaching it so that a lot of it doesn’t get repeated
  • Each Citizen should watch our collective history. Time goes by so quickly, yet this was 100< years ago. What can one learn from history. Soaking up knowledge and researching on my own has been my favorite pastime.

Interesting how history repeats itself in this day and age.
  • @Joel-yp4yt
Great series, really interesting and paints a vivid picture. Small suggestion - displaying dates at key points could provide additional context

I remember watching these episodes when it 1st came out. Great series!
  • I appreciate Carnegie because he helped build libraries,, one right here in Jacksonville. Florida....whose entrance says "Open to All" designed by Architect Henry Klutho.

Yeah I have a neighbor, who’s husband works for the railroad and I’ve talked to the both of them about his work. Talk about some tiring and exhausting work. Everything is about safety. Safety for both the public as well as safety for all the crews. Especially since they all deal with very large pieces of industrial equipment.
  • This was an amazing video. This needs to be shown in schools as part of the curriculum. Amazing!

This episode has made me realize that Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Bill Gates are essentially the modern version of JP Morgan, Carnegie, and Rockefeller. The parallel is uncanny!! I always loved history class when i was in high school (20 years ago ), but this series wouldve made my US history classes a million times even more interesting and much easier to understand, so I’m absolutely loving this series! History teachers now would do the next generation a huge favor by using this series in their lesson plans nowadays (which im hoping they are already doing) 😁

The recreation of the past is wonderful to see. Too bad we haven't learned much from it.
  • I wish the history channel could be accessible to everyone I myself can't afford cable
  • @MrNeilTV
This is an amazing series! A bit disturbed by the parallels to America today though…

Anyone can be endlessly rich and powerful. All they have to do is create something that every person needs and can't live without then hold on to the sole ability to create or build it.
  • I now work at G.E Transportation up here in Erie PA. Work under Locomotive Testing Lab, Diesel engines & test track. Im 21, years to go through the ranks to the Top. Love this series. At 1:17:33 I was shocked to hear about a "livable wage," with "safe working conditions" and a "40-hour week," when these things seem out of reach today. Oh, and at 1:18:34 the idea of "broad prosperity shared throughout the country" and "perhaps America's greatest innovation yet--a thriving and prosperous middle class." I wish we were seeing that today. Sigh.
