My experience as Math consultant: when taught at early age, quick/mental calculation helps kids to develop a math mindset. Most of my math students now are able to build their own strategy of learning math, and become math lovers.

I really wish I was taught mental math at an early age. I could never grasp the concept of numbers and unfortunately got left behind, really quickly. I'm about to take my first college algebra course and I'm trying to prepare myself. The way you explained things is really helping!

  • 6:29 Compl(i)ments really are a huge help. Calling me a genius at the beginning of the video not only restored my feeling of self worth, but also helped me to get the motivation I needed, to acquire a new, useful skill. This guy really knows what he’s talking about. Cheers mate

The moment I heard the Indian accent, my brain instantly clicked and said ok this is legit we're hearing from a person born in a country full of geniuses. edit: didn't know this was getting likes, I'm filipino and what I said isn't sarcasm I was just amazed.😭
  • I have to say one thing, you should have been my teacher when I was younger, because this method is much faster than any other method I have learned at school. Thank you so much I am going to practice this everyday!
  • I’m watching these videos because my mom said I’m not smart :( I want to prove her wrong
  • 6:25&& Compliments shortcut 1. Always go from Left To Right 2. Convert hard problems into simple problems (chunking) 3. Be creative 1. Pendekatan bilangan 2. Lalu dijumlah/dikurangi sesuai pendekatan awal

WTH this works so well! I was doing the problems and surprising myself with how fast I was doing it! it works amazingly well, and I was excited to actually do the problems. You did a great job and I thank you immensely for teaching me this trick :)
  • Thank you soooo much... I hate math... but see how I am used to it now... and I am also proud that Indians can make anything possible... And also proud to born in the place where 'Zero' invented... As an Indian I should develop my math skills learning from your channel....
