"Well then son, you've got a condition" RIP Harry Dean Stanton.

RED IN MY LEDGER: "Red ink" is business jargon describing a financial loss, withdrawal, or debt. When accountants made physical entries into a general ledger, red ink was used to show a negative number, and black ink was used to show a positive one. "Red in my ledger" is a debt. I want to "wipe it out", I want to pay the debt, be debt free.
  • 17:19 "Did I miss a joke? Why did he hand him $10?" Earlier, Cap: " Nothing can surprise me. " Fury: "Bet you $10 you're wrong." When Natasha talks about "Red in her Ledger" she is talking about all the people she had killed in the past. She is trying to atone for her past.

"His first name is 'Agent'!" Damn, this movie is so quotable.

i get what you're saying about Coulson being "too unaffected" by things around him, but for me that's honestly exactly why i love him so much - he's basically an endless supply of chill and almost non-stop positivity. like, he just accepts reality the moment he's confronted with it and just casually moves on to worrying about the next thing.

Cap is so respectful of Banner! When he meets him, he says that his ability to find the cube is " the only part I care about". And then he calls the Hulk 'Hulk', not Banner, which means he respects both, but knows both are separate💯

It's really interesting to me how nearly everybody forgets that Nick Fury bet Captain America $10 that he was wrong about nothing being able to surprise him. When Steve gives him $10, he's just owning up to his end of the bet.

The take of Jonah is the biblical story of Jonah being swallowed by a whale
  • “I can’t take anymore seriously when they look like a magician” You’re gonna love Doctor Strange!!!

Why is it that almost no one sees that Loki's sceptre was causing the infighting during that scene? They literally focus on it, showing the stone pulsing faster and then Banner picks it up without even realizing it. It was influencing all of them to distract them and heighten their emotions so when the attack came it was pretty much guaranteed that Hulk would be making an appearance.
  • Hulk only respects Cap because Steve is the only one that calls him Hulk instead of Banner. It also confirms that Hulk is a separate entity.
  • "I feel so stupid that I thought the Chitauri were the Frost Giants." Wait until you find out who the "Red Skull" (yet purple and bulbous) guy is... 🤣

Don’t think Thor couldn’t pick up the hammer, I think it was a moment of self doubt from losing that made him question if he’s worthy to carry it.
  • Loki's scepter is the reason why the argument escalated as much as it did. It brought out the deepest dislikes to the forefront of each character. I'm not going to say why everyone reacted to the scepter, you just have to continue watching the movies.

I love that a bunch of superheroes got their Shawarma from a hole in the wall joint. Not only that, though, but it was a hole in the wall with a literal hole in the wall

1:33 Other way around. They said "yes" to Iron Man and "No" to Tony Stark.

The Spider-Man from THIS universe(Tom Holland) is still a little kid. He hasn’t been bitten by the radioactive spider yet. In fact, the Tom Holland-Peter Parker already made an appearance. The directors confirmed he was the little kid in the Iron Man helmet at the Stark Expo in Iron Man 2.

Jeremy Renner was in Thor.. he was the guy with the bow that almost shot Thor when he tried to take his hammer and failed.. Also, although I don't think she is named as Black Widow, we find out who Natasha Romanoff is in Iron Man 2..
  • @TheAbstruseOne
Fun thing about the climax: Every single Avenger defeats Loki at least once. Black Widow out-maneuvers him during the interrogation, Iron Man out-snarks him in the penthouse, Thor talks him down (even if for a second), Hawkeye gets him with the exploding arrow, Hulk thinks he's a puny god, and Black Widow and Iron Man both thwart his final plan in two different ways. Yet Loki still feels like a threat.
