The game that had a $22 million marketing campaign, and the production values on the American ads sure show that well! Too bad the game ended up killing the collectathon genre, at least according to many people.

    Fun fact: All of the Mexican commercials for DK64 are narrated by Mexican VA "Carlos Segundo", better known for being the voice of Piccolo in the Dragon Ball Franchise.

    1:48. I find it amusing how those pre-rendered commercial models look worse than the in-game ones. Pretty sure Rare didn't make those.

    I really liked this game. I'm surprised it never got a portable remake like the other Rare-produced DK games.

    The first Japanese one is quite interesting as it uses unique animation for the five playable Kongs which wasn’t seen anywhere else other than Japan.
