  • This is near-Petrolicious level of video quality, plus the car is simply amazing... Congrats Patina!

I have a Stratos in my Garage. He was very very expensive. But...You know..there are simple Rallye Cars and there is a Stratos. A Stratos is Not only a Car. IT is a passion

Great car.Im 54yr old I saw the car crossing kamatira forest check point kenya in the seventies..that is where my enthusiasm for cars started.
  • @nirajshah7000
My favourite rally car! I’m from Kenya, we’d follow the Safari for the full 5 days. The stratos was incredibly loud and we would hear in for a good 5 mins before we saw it. Would love to drive one....and own one!!
  • @paralogregt
I was lucky to hear and see these in Cropton Forest in the RAC in the70's nothing else like it.
  • @notaberger_3216
Im so glad that it is driven instead of garaged like many other rare cars.

Its not a car , its a Big Legendary Automotive & Rally Story !!
  • @gkstanfield
Such an incredible story about a sympathetic and enthusiastic owner...just think of all the nine-and-ten-year-old children whose motoring passions will have been awakened by his mission to use and show the Stratos in the environments which it was designed for! A brilliant way to pay JOY forward...CHEERS! 🏁

One of the most beautiful cars ever made. Thank you for keeping it on the road

This has to be the best car channel on YouTube right now. 11/10 production and overall quality.
  • I have same feelings, indeed i was born in autumn 1971 andΒ it's been actually the first car in my life that made me smile.. unique!!!!
  • @TheAslakVind
I guess that everyone noticed, that it was Jeremy Clarkson in the replica.
  • i was a kid living in new york, when my dad bought me a toy stratos. we didnt know anything about rally, or any car outside american car companies. closest we knew of was the general lee dodge charger. i remember thinking that the toy wasnt a real car, being radically styled. i lost it at a laundry mat, and as time passed, the memory faded. years later, while playing a game called sega rally, i saw my car. the stratos. i got excited, and was telling my dad, thats my car! ive been obsessed with this car since those days. to this day, its the only car that brings tears to my eyes. its perfect. the sound, the look, and the skill required to drive it. its my mexico. its the only thing on my bucket list. its literally all i want. of course, ill never afford one, never see one in person, never hear it in life. all i got is these videos, video games, and dreams. i hope that anyone who has one, or has driven one, knows how blessed they are.

People NEVER find classic cars. Classic cars always finds the owners. Some how the cosmos matches passion with passion Every single classic car I have owned ( many ) I was looking for that specific model ,But the car always found me. Great car great story.....my car growing up that grabbed my Passion by the tail into the sports car world in the Very Early 70s was a GT 40. A long story but I enjoyed your story, very much.
  • @peterhoare3219
I've seen two of these in Sydney, in the glorious 80s. Hardly surprising. 400 made You don't quickly forget them. Especially the NOISE... 😍😍😍
  • @alastairblair
I too am one of those 50 (is) year old men who have never been able to get this car out of my head having seen it at the RAC rally in 1975 although I only watched it on the TV, I have seen roller skates with a longer wheelbase it must be terrifying to keep on top of!
