Crossing A Line | Lyrics

They’ll tell you I don’t care anymore
And I hope you’ll know that’s a lie
Cause I’ve found what I have been waiting for
But to get there means crossing a line

I don’t know how to warn you / for what I’m gonna say
Cause you’re holding so tight to / what I’m taking away
I got demons inside me / so I’m faced with a choice
Either try to ignore them / or I give them a voice

And it’s keeping me up at night
Worried it’s not alright
Holding back things you don’t know
And it’s keeping me up at night
Worried it’s not alright
You’re not gonna like where this goes

And they’ll
Tell you I don’t care anymore
And I hope you’ll know that’s a lie
Cause I’ve found what I have been waiting for
But to get there means crossing a line
So I’m crossing a line

It’s not about status / we know it never was
Cause what good is the kingdom / when you’re missing the love
This is not a goodbye now / I’m not going away
No I don’t have the answers / but I do have the faith

And it’s keeping me up at night
Worried it’s not alright
Holding back things you don’t know
And it’s keeping me up at night
Worried it’s not alright
You’re not gonna like where this goes

I'm leaving this comment here, so whenever someone likes it, I will be reminded about this awesome song.
  • I hate how in his streams, so many people just want to ask about Chester. In interviews and fan meet and greets, it's all about Chester. As someone who has lost a friend to suicide, I understand how much it hurts just to hear their name. Let him live his life, guys. Chester is fantastic, and will never truly die, but Mike has a life of his own. Let him live it without a constant reminder of his best friend
  • I think I respect Mike more than anyone in the music industry. When he was in Linkin Park he wrote most the lyrics with Chester, rapped, sang, played guitar, and produced. Now after Chester's death, he continues to do the same. He turned something tragic, into a positive with his music. If my best friend committed suicide I would give up. But Mike kept going. But he also is honest. Yes some of his songs have positive messages like Crossing a Line and Cant Hear You Now but in Over Again, Hold it Together and Place to Start he let's his emotions take over. He just writes about how he feels. He also seems like an extremely humble guy Uve gotta respect this guy.

this is exactly what Chester wouldve wanted from you Mike, not suffering and grieving in his loss forever but resort to continuing making music as an way of expressing yourself, keep on pushing budd, you are one hell of a talented artist and have our endless love and support ❤

To the people who said Mike already forgotten about Chester, do you even listen to the song's lyrics? You're a horrible person if you want Mike never recover from this tragedy.

I don't understand how other "singers" who only talk about sex and superficial issues have more success in their career than Mike ☹

Mike, I don't know how you do it, but you do everything with a smile on your face. Even since Chester passed. and I've never once got the vibe that it's a fake smile, it's real. Your optimism inspires me so much. You seem like one of the most humble people ever. You remind me to be more grateful. Thank you for that. Seriously.
  • "This is not a goodbye now. I’m not going away No I don’t have the answers. but I do have the faith" YESSS BROTHER!!🔥 Stay strong Mike

My best friend took his own life in December... Seeing Mike cope and get through is helping me so much. Thank you Mike for all the music! Just the newest of many problems these guys have made the perfect music for.

I met Mike ...what a nice guy!!!
  • Man. Mike is my hero. I think he's one of those good people in the world that set out to do good things and help people in many aspects of this harsh existence. Dude makes the world a better place. Thank you for being here Mike.
  • Mike I don't think you realize how much you're still keeping others going through their own hardships. Your music still resonates years later and always will through the threads of time just like Linkin Park does. But you are your own whole genre my dude. Thank you for what you do.
