One of my favourite scenes ever. He's starting to really care about her... love how he walks next to her and watches her through the bookshelf.

A random detail I love is how she’s playing a Squier here and at the end he buys her a way more expensive Fender that she wouldn’t have been able to afford. Totally unnecessary, but adds an extra layer there.

I loved the part where she sensed his presence, when she was playing the guitar with her eyes closed then opened them when she sensed he was there. Such a poignant scene. This is one of my favourite movies and always will be. Still greatly missed. RIP Heath, he was one of a kind. ❤

You see, he smiled because whatever she said in words, fact is she saw the book he said he was looking for and still handed it over. Sarcastically or not, a girl doesn’t pay attention like that, let alone actually act on it, if she’s actually genuinely not into you.
