Omg, thanks! This is the first YT tutorial I found (in 3 months learning FreeCAD) showcasing the Image workbench. FreeCAD poisoned my dog btw.

The more I watch these, the more amazed and please I am on the breadth and depth of freecad. If ppl think its crap, good luck with continuing to pay ever growing amounts of $s.

Please keep it coming. Right now I'm using both. Mostly due to me being lazy to edit my projects in freecad while they are for 3dprinting anyway. Ohnestly I think I'm starting to like Freecad more than fusion, there are maybe some features that this cad doesnt like, but I dont bump into same soft lock I had in fusion while using freecad. It may be harder at first but oh boy it's powerhouse. If you cant do something out of the box you bet your ass that addons will make it. Also I'm not pro in any means. I have only around something more than a year expirience in using any CAD software at all.

By far this the best explanation I've seen in English others including Fusion360 leave mo reason to listen or watch, only two people can equal this content creator but in my native language,, I have nothing against other 3D parametric software solutions but can't afford them or not advisable since I am just starting.
  • Please keep going with the series! Don't worry about negative comments. I agree that freecad has problems, but as it is open source, we can fix many of the hiccups, even if it will take next year or two.

Amazing series! Thank you for showing different options and what their advantages+disadvantages are!
  • I'm a new subscriber after finding your channel when looking for FreeCAD videos, but I also really enjoyed your video on electroplating. Thanks for the great content!

Once again great video packed with informations. Starring the one and only Companion Cube :)
  • @ManIkWeet
These videos are great! They quickly show how to get things done in FreeCAD. No it's not yet perfect but if you know the quirks it's actually really good software, considering the price.
  • Constable Hartley here - glad you fully constrained the sketch😉 Great tutorial👍

I just started freecad and so far i like version 0.21. it reminds me of solid works 2020. However, the newest dev version of freecad is amazing with the new sketch tools and the ability to type dimensions in as you draw the sketch. Plus realthinder, one of the devs has made some great fixes to the naming topology.

I'm sorry you got some bad comments. I tried FreeCAD over a year ago, and I didn't like it, but I decided to give it another try this week, I went through your tutorials, and I must say I discovered how powerful and great FreeCAD is. Please, keep up the good work, and I hope to see more of your quality tutorials in the future, for now, I decided to use FreeCAD as my main CAD solution for 3D printing, and I have you to thank for that.

Excellent video demonstrating how to use FreeCAD. Just what is needed, thank you for posting. As a returning FreeCAD user I'm really frustrated that I didn't continue with FreeCAD when I got suckered into the Fusion360 great con trick resulting me being held to ransom when Autodesk hijacked my files with barely any notice. Keep doing these videos please Brodie they are very much appreciated and helpful to the many many people who are turning their backs on Audtodesk now including me. It's so good to be back in the world of Open Source.
