Come join us on a Road trip through the Mountains of Meghalaya in the beautiful North East of India. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ
We met up with Karikor, a Subscriber of ours, and went on our journey through his home State, Meghalaya. Even with bad weather, we explored the breathtaking mountain ranges, Waterfalls and vast Highlands that all surround Shillong, the main Capital of Meghalaya.
We went on hikes to hidden waterfalls, explored the local Khasi traditions, cultures and also Food. With Karikor at our Side, we could really get a grasp of the ancient Land and the beautiful Sites it has to offer.
We went to a local Khasi restaurant and tasted amazing local Khasi Food.
After that we ended our day in the sacred Forest of the Khasi people, it was a really special Tour and you could get a glimpse of the active Traditions and Cultures that still get practiced here every day.

The North East, and specially Meghalaya, really is a side of India that not many people ever saw.
However, it is definitely one of the most beautiful parts of this huge and diverse Country, and for us a must-Visit while in India.๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Here you can really get a grasp of a Side of India that is not often shown!

What an amazing Day!๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Cheers Guys ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

I am from Arunachal Pradesh and being friends with people from Shillong, Meghalaya I feel happy about this video. Areas like theirs and ours are prone to landslides and the roads are not quite the best but I can guarantee one thing that nature is always around the corner and I love that.
  • Be safe from landslides in these areas. These places get hostile due to heavy rains during monsoons. Stay safe.
  • Amidst all the quintessential India adventures featuring Old Delhi, Jaipur, slums of Mumbai, there are regions in India that are so untouched and thus pristine.

Meghalaya means 'abode of clouds'. Kerala receives the first rainfall but Meghalaya receives the highest rainfall. Both places look similar๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒณ

People of the Northeastern part of India are very close to nature and they take care of the nature
  • India has diversity. You will find different culture, language and lifestyle in every indian state. If you move to one state from another you will think that you are going to different country. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  • I am absolutely overjoyed to finally finally see people not just visiting the scam Golden Triangle places and leaving India..I was praying for you guys that you get a good person to guide you around North-East because it's the least explored and your guides were all genuinely good people..North-Eastโค also watch #worldnomac, #Frenchyvlogs, #josieliftsthings, #Chris2Go explore North-East โค

My friend is from Shillong and according to her in Sacred forest you cannot do anything wrong, can't pick flowers, can't litter, can't spit, can't do loo or anything otherwise you'll be trapped stucked inside of the sacred forest according to the local tribe.

Nice to see both of you after 2 days. Amazing view of waterfall and of sacred forest. Such sacred forests you will find throughout India. It preserves ethnicity and culture of certain communities but along with it there is conservation of nature. Good local guide you have got. Be careful as it's rainy season. Pathways will be slippery. Keep exploring....โค
