Haroon M Jadhakhan has been an orator at Hyde Park, Speakers Corner, London for several years. He is known to speak several languages including French and Urdu.
His late father Yacoob Muhammadyar Jadhakhan (ra) was an Imam of three different Mosques for over 35 years at different times. Haroon’s Late mother was very well known for teaching the Holy Quran to others. Haroon’s father taught Islam to hundreds of children until the twilight years of his life, as a born teacher with an exceptional art of teaching.
Needless to say, he was a man of supreme integrity and dignity, highly respected by members of every community in an ethnically plural society of which he was an integral part. He preached unity in diversity. Haroon’s Late grand father (ra) was the President of the Sunnat Jammat, going back a long way, equally religious and held in high esteem.
Haroon left his country of origin many years ago to settle in the UK. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of London. He also read Sociology, Economics and Education.
The themes of Haroon on Arab affairs and the Third World is meticulously researched and brilliantly articulated.
The subtlety and nuances in the use of his language at times fascinates, combining the eloquence of a speaker with the careful craft of a scholar. This very much depends who are the participants in the debate. At an academic level, as in a lecture hall, his speeches are very different, conducted by a chairperson, where hecklers as in Hyde Park are virtually nonexistent.
Without hecklers, Hyde Park , Speakers Corner would be drab, dull, monotonous, like walking across a desert without an oasis.
