Have you ever been through the receipt book for your project car? I make that mistake in this video and then take it one step farther by figuring out how much more I need to spend for the power I want. Oops...

Engine: $10k 1000HP goal parts alone: $40k I think imma stick to my VQDE engine and put around 35k to the engine to make 1000hp.

You spot on how we take a year or 2 to build the Supra 😂 Supra tax is crazy done a forged motor etc got a shop to assemble the long block just to eliminate any error with in the long block your looking at around 6k NZD for all the machine work/crack testing etc and assembly then there’s parts on top it’s really not cheap anything with the Supra name. We have very little Supra parts in NZ so most has to be found over seas then we get hit with import tax, the ETS intercooler bought a tear to my eye that one 😂. Keen as to see the fuel upgrade video will come in handy

It all depends on where you buy and what brand you are going for ect, but its a nice video to show just an example that it cost alot to build a high hp engine!.

Nothing but truth here, I've been collecting parts (includes pretty much everything, built block v160 etc) since about 2012. As long as everything goes well, it'll be making it's maiden voyage this spring :) Finallllyyyy!! I should note, I bought all this on the side before i even owned a supra, I'm on my second supra now, owned it about 2.5 years and it's been apart for at least 2 years now lol. Slow and steady wins the race I guess. EDIT: Also, I feel your pain with altitude, our goals are very much the same, builds are very similar (im using the 7675 gen 2 as well, built 3.0 10:1), down here in Albuquerque @ ~5400ft elevation, I hope to hit about that mark (1050-1100 or so), goal is just to break the mythical quad digit number and then see if i like it lol, I can always size down the turbo if I don't. Either way good luck with your build! Starting to wrench on mine again after the holidays and such.

Nice video, how much did you spend on internals? Did you change the block? I’m making 750-900hp 2jz and I don’t know how strong is 2jz stock block

2JZ is a piece of art .. but it does cost alot to build , and that's what I'm trying to explain to the people who walk to me and pour their hate on the new supra 😅... I paid about 4000$ and I'm close to double the stock power .. and I can daily this easily ..
  • Check out PFI speed for injectors, they are cheap for flow matched injectors.

Ive found that the best thing is to sit down a couple weeks and figure out what to look for in parts. What performance metrics, what materials, their failure points and the necessary workarounds etc etc. Once you've done your homework, you can shop manufacturer direct from china or Thailand for a fraction of the price. Most of these parts are imported from china and rebranded or designed and sent overbroad for manufacturing. If you know what to looks for , you could save yourself tens of thousands
  • @okanoyuki
What websites did you search on to find your parts?

Can this be applied to any other car that can be 2jz swapped ?
