Overlooked gem about this show is the sound design. Shocker's blasts, Vulture's wing pack, later Green Goblin's laughs/pumpkin bombs. So much love went into this show.

The first three episodes of this tell such a fun little arc. I love that despite Spidey saving Connors, he still feels like he lost, losing his job, friends, and freedom, and even contemplates a brash decision like removing his powers, only to reaffirm his commitment to using those powers to help others. This show really gets the essence of Spider-man.

I love the body horror elements of the Lizard transformation in this series. The way his skull flattens and becomes more lizard-like is just so creepy, in a way.

Me and Coy are on the opposite spectrum when it comes to Shocker. This is my absolute favorite version of him. He’s not just some street level goof he’s an actual threat who is and should be taken seriously. Also my god his voice is cool.

Spectacular Spider-Man is my favorite Spider-Man cartoon, and honestly, it was only just recently dethroned as my favorite Marvel cartoon by X-Men 97! Still, this is my definitive Spider-Man story and the one I always think of /recommend to people just starting to get into the Marvel Universe! It's a shame it got canceled after two seasons. I hope Disney and Sony can work out a deal and revive this show X-Men 97 Style!

I really love that you two are doing this series! Perfect combination AND I started watching this show a bunch of years ago, but stopped and I can't remember where I stopped (2nd season, somewhere). Montana’s quips throughout the show are so fucken good. His southern drawl makes them so funny “Cool to see people that you wouldn’t know if you’re not a comic fan” that’s what’s so great about this show, it has a lot of the classic, well known villains and characters (Electro, Lizard, Eddie Brock, The Osborns, etc) but it also introduces a new audience to lesser known characters like The Enforcers and a few others that I won’t spoil 👀🤫
