First drive around the block of a big block chevy powered Mustang. Competing in Chicago's King of the Street 26" Radial class. 275/50/15 Radial, stock style suspension, pretty much anything else goes.

The car ran horribly at KOTS. We got it together and got to test at the track once before the event...The first time spraying it was at KOTS. Needless to say, the tune wasn't right and we had an issue with the microswitch...Both of which would have been fixed if we had time to test the nitrous prior to the event. The car is getting a new heart this year and well be at quite a few of the events NLR/US 41 is putting on. Stop by and say hi.
  • It's against my religion to put a junk ass Chevy engine into a FORD. I got a 86 Mustang with a mild 460 Ford, no stroker, stock bottom end, goes low to mid 9s on a 275/60 drag radials. Street driven no power adders, pump gas ! Would Never see a Chevy powerplant in my car. Maybe a Powerglide soon that's about it, gonna need it for my new combo stroker Big Block Ford with a single 98mm. Still on 275 Drag Radials !

That's great. Big-block Chevy motors are easier and cheaper to build due the the greater abundance of parts. When it comes to small-blocks, I still think the SBF is king...although the LSx motors are catching up(still expensive though).
