Let's (try to) focus together 😊!

Hi 👋 !
My Name is Alice, I created The Mini ADHD Coach in august 2020 when I was just diagnosed with ADHD at 29.
After years of questioning, therapy, burnout, and chaotic career path changes, I finally understood why I struggled with so many things.
So I decided to share what I learned to raise awareness around ADHD and help the ADHD community thrive.

The Pomodoro technique is a great way to help people with ADHD stay focused and complete tasks. It breaks up larger tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks of time, which allows people with ADHD to pay attention for longer periods. For instance, instead of trying to focus on writing an essay for two hours straight, the Pomodoro technique suggests taking short five-minute breaks in between 25-minute blocks of work. This helps keep you from getting overwhelmed and losing motivation or focus. 🚀

By setting a timer, you can also help keep yourself on track. Once the timer runs out, take a short break to do something else for five minutes. This gives your mind time to reset and allows you to come back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the task again. 💪

Not only does the Pomodoro technique give your brain regular breaks, it also provides structure and accountability that can be extremely helpful for those with ADHD. Studies have shown that breaking down larger tasks into smaller pieces actually makes them easier to remember and complete. Plus, when you know that you have a set amount of time to complete each task, it will help you stay on track and motivated. 💪

If you think the Pomodoro technique might be something worth trying out, why not give it a go? You’ll never know if something works until you try it! 🤗 Just remember to find what works best for your own needs and adjust accordingly—you may need more or less frequent breaks than someone else. Goo

I just wish there was a bell sound every time the timers were over. I just kept going studying until the whole video was over and I thought to myself "those were the longest 25 minutes ever" hahahaha

At first, it was kinda hard to focus for 25 minute straight, but when i keep doing this, my brain start to adjust the pomodoro technique and i'm getting better on focusing. Yayy!
  • @MrFabutan
love how time for a break is the most played section
  • @Azzy07
Love that the breaks were only 5 minutes it was long enough to get up stretch and use the bathroom but not long enough to decide I want to start a fire on my own

I DID IT!!! I have a lot of difficulty focusing and putting effort in things that I don't like because of my ADHD, but this time, I did it :DD I took my focus pokus pill, I sat down, put on this video, witch has lo-fi and pomodoro and I did a whole essay and math exercises!!! I canNOT tell you how exited I get whenever I do something like this, it's so rare, but whenever I actually do it, I feel amazing. I mean, the lil' ol' me was able to focus alone, at home, for 2 HOURS! It's in times like these that I remember that I actually enjoy studying and I like absorbing knowledge. Also as someone that is 10 months away from taking a test that will help me to get into a good university just turns all this into something very special, so yeah, I guess I'm really happy with my progress :) For those that are having difficulties, YOU GOT THIS!! Even if it feels like you don't, it's no problem lying to yourself a little bit if it'll help you get better >:D after all, it won't be a lie, after you go through all this video studying >:)))
  • HOLY SHIT I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! This helped me get all of my homework done in 1 hour and 40 minutes when I had been CONVINCED that I wouldn't be able to rough through it because the workload is so incredibly boring and I would get distracted all the time. I didn't even feel the need to take a brake, my hyperfocus was activated so the time passed really smoothly. I am sure many other ADHDers feel the same way as I do. Keep up the good work!!!

  • I'm not sure if I have ADHD or relating to it yet same goes with stressed disorder but noticing some things, but I can't say since haven't been diagnosed yet. But regardless this is pretty nice to listen to and does help me focus so far. I really like the idea with it. The art on this channel is really cute btw. Those who are wondering I'm not here studying, just using it to focus on reading, art, animating and other hobbies. ^ ^

When I was looking for this video, I typed in ADHD, got distracted and typed it in a second time without realising I just have literally typed it in 30 seconds before. Some days it is so hard to focus, but thanks to projects like that we can at least improve our lifestyle. Thanks <3 What I love of this specific music is that is just fast enough to make me productive without distracting me with words/slow sounds. Keep adding more! Greetings from Italy :)
  • This just let me clear though an entire 4 page essay in under an hour without feeling super burnt out! Thank you! ^-^
  • The song that starts at 18:16 is fabulous! Changes a bit the mood in a way to warn me that the time is finishing soon

This was so helpful and I honestly got a lot done! Focusing on one task at a time. I also love the breaks. I stopped and took a deep breath for moment, looked out the window and felt clear and recharged to get back to work!
