The brother in law showed his true colours. And surprised the father didn’t include the half sister with a small inheritance. She was greedy and profligate, but he had raised her as his daughter. And these two were so grasping, they didn’t even hide their greed and callousness.

I don't know what country this supposedly took place in ... but that's not how inheritances work. It's based on the will, and if there's no will, then it's distributed among ALL the family, not just the eldest, and not above the spouse.

Nice story in that there was no divorce. It also was more suspenseful, making it more interesting.

These words are inconprehensible . Who talking about who. ? This is the worst narrative I have ever heard and noone notices that sister and brother in law are attempting murder of mom and brother. And mom is gullible

People can add beneficiaries (familial and/or non-familial) as they see fit. This can be done independently of a will.
