Drinker's Chasers - She-Hulk: A Show Made For No-One

Published 2022-10-07
It seems like She-Hulk is a show written for a very specific audience - the writers of She-Hulk. I wonder why?

  • Do you guys realise that she won an award for lawyer of the year, while not winning a single case in the ENTIRE show!

It's made for the writers to live out their wet dreams of being both the biggest victim and super boss girl all at once. Never been hit on at a bar? Well here's how I think it would happen. Never caught the eye of that hunky, hunky, hunk? Well this is how I would have done it. Never had any real world responsibilities in a serious situation that impacts people other than yourself? This is how we imagine it would happen.

The fact that she’s done more lusting for male attention than actually helping people..tells you all you need to know about the show.

To quote the drinker. " a multi million dollar therapy session for female writers"
  • @Fearghas999
The male "walk of shame" is called "the stride of pride"

Baggage Claim made a great point: Jen Walters thinks focusing on meeting on her own social needs is less self-centered (or narcissistic), than literally saving the earth from extinction-level events.

The relationship between Hicks and Ripley is a perfect example of how to write a strong independent woman falling for a strong masculine guy, both learning from each other, both respecting each other both equals yet bringing individual parts to each other. How have writers missed this?

The sad thing is narcissists can’t take criticism or see themselves in the wrong, even tho everyone’s telling them their show sucks and they’re narcissists, in their eyes everyone else must just be sexist or jealous or something
  • This is the first episode where i see major positivity on social media, and mostly because of daredevil
  • The sad thing is nobody realizes that while in the comics, both Jen and Matt are lawyers in New York; Jen is a lawyer in LA in the show. So (drumroll) Matt wouldn't be able to just 'show up and handle a case' in LA because in America you have to be licensed in each state you practice law. Passing the bar is not a country-wide pass because every state has different laws.
  • Baggage claim is legit. She makes great content and is a voice of reason in the midst of lunacy.

she-hulk is the villian lol ... she's lucid. She's attempts to kill a couple of dudes and then hulk tackles her stopping her from killing people. A few minutes later you learn she's completely lucid. A few minutes later you learn that she thinks she's better at controlling her anger than bruce. If shehulk is trying to be secretly satirical it's brilliant

    I don't watch she-hulk because I don't hate myself

I did the male version of "the walk of shame" I called it "the pride stride" It was after a wedding, had a wild night with a bridesmaid and was walking back to my car in a bedraggled suit and this guy saw me at a crosswalk, smiled, and we gave eachother thumbs up because he knew and I knew he knew and we were both happy

Ironic in a She Hulk woman empowerement show they still needed DD to do the heavy lifting.
  • "And the award for best female Hulk lawyer goes to... not you!"
  • @kevinh9110
I got to see Charlie Cox as Daredevil with what he was given. THANK YOU Charlie Cox and NO ONE ELSE.
  • This show was 100% created to troll Drinker and Friends. Nothing else.
