at 14:28, that rez was likely an accident, as it is indeed on console. the default control scheme for mercy has her rez and her slow-descent on the same button (L2 on playstation). if you are slow falling on mercy on console with default controls and someone dies next to you, you often immediately rez them. the mercy saying "sorry" was probably a real apology.

League does communication. They have Game update videos every few weeks about updates and where the game is going.(they also do blogs about game direction,..), they also post a lot on twitter(2times a week ). Their balance lead designer does 1-2h patch rundowns for every patch and they have a champ designer thats open to any question about the game you have on his twitch streams. But yeah, Aaron and alec talking to the community is definitely a good thing and doesnt really happen often for games.

being bad at your job should warrant losing it

3:50 Riot Games' designer leaders (At least for League of Legends) are actually quite active on social media, namely twitter.

For the mauga swapping tiktok. As a doom player ive recently discovered that it is quite easy to play doom into mauga. Every time mauga pops his health steal just use block and jump out. When you get down to 30% health. You burn his ability and end up with an empowered punch. (Since most mauga players think they can blast through your block.) now yes you need to get to the nearest healthpack asap since you will have no overhealth and likely no help from your supports as youve run away...but youve made the mauga killable AND you should be back in 2 seconds to beat the crap out of him. Ive been using this the last few weeks without fail. They usually swap to orisa at this point...sad 😭

That mimic spray could literally just be a reference to any mimic, most likely dnd mimics.

The thing is, you dont need to know who the devs are if they are doing a good job. I have no problem not knowing who is behind the changes for other games I play because I'm satisfied with the updates. If the patches were hitting nobody would care if the devs communicated or not, people just want the game to be fun. The only reason people demand so much community interaction is because they literally spent the last year ignoring and gaslighting our feedback about the format, and now we are supposed to praise them for doing the bare minimum lol. Yeah, no. Also, its not even that rare, I can think of several other games I've seen with better communication between the people running the game and the community

Hammond has another Gurren Lagann one too. Echo has Matrix and Dragon Ball Z. Lifeweaver has the distracted boyfriend meme and Josuke's pose from Diamond is Unbreakable. I think Illari's llama has references to Kuzco too.

The mimic spray is a d&d reference, not a datk souls reference. That whole battle pass was basically d&d.
