My friend you are the professional on collectables and resale but down here in Oregon I have seen the tire/ashtray's tagged for higher prices than that location! Always fun to go along on your Adventures, Thank you and your family!

Hi Alex! Welcome back to Arkansas! No tornadoes this time. 😂 The still lamp is funny. Just for reference, we have a 50+ miles of sales called Bargains Galore on 64 the first weekend in August. Random sales and booths set up alongside highway 64 from Conway, Ark. to Ozark, Ark. I used to go every year but I can’t take the heat anymore. Also people drive like idiots, so be careful if you come for this. I have found some jacked up prices by dealers, but it’s primarily individual yard sales or moving sales. The sales that are off the main highway are less traveled and may have some good items. I have bought a Lane cedar lined chest with the drawer for only $50. At another I purchased an Oriental style pictured large chest with the drawer for $50. I had intended to give each granddaughter a Hope chest, but I love the style of the Oriental chest and kept it for myself. I have to find 3 more chests eventually. Anyway, I’m glad you made it back. Good luck on finding treasures! ❤😊Brenda in Russellville

You sure won’t be short on places to look and find in Arkansas! There are plenty of antique shops and places like you saw in this video. Too bad you couldn’t just have a crate on standby, fill it up and ship it home!😊

I used to watch years ago when you were fixing up that house. I just watched a couple of your recent videos, You have stayed the same.. enjoyed.

Lead crystal manufactured in the US prior to 1920 will also fluoresce under 183nm blacklight due to the use of manganese as a de-coloring agent in the mix.
  • Okay your latest videos a 0:25 re driving me crazy! I live in Bentonville and I just want to be alongside you looking at good stuff. Lol. I'm glad you found The Rose. It has always been one of my favorites in this area. And it's a shame you didn't get here before the tornado hit the one down the road in May. Are you checking out 410 vintage while you're in the area? Love these people know their stuff so the prices might be a little bit more. But I'm sure you'll find some nuggets in there.

Roger Welsh, the tractor book guy had a television show called Postcards from Nebraska. Still replays on the RFD channel. Very good look at country living from long ago. He's gone now but was a popular country story teller.
  • I bought that same tire tray at a marbles show earlier this year...have had a few Akro Agate and car brand types but was also first fluorescent green glass tray I have found...picked up at same price after bargaining.

Alex found some stuff. I think the still lamp is local humor - Arkansas used to be home to a lot of bootleggers.
