Macron is playing either 1D or 4D chess.

Ciotti being kicked from his own party is some Games of Thrones stuff and is making this election, albeit very important and concerning, surprisingly entertaining.

Tourist: "I can't wait to go to Paris for the Olympic Games!" Me: "But the whole country will be on strike and plunged into chaos." Tourist: "You do not have to try to convince me. I already said that I will go."

"France" and "most chaotic" being in the same sentence, makes me wonder if we're going to see the French 6th Republic soon.
  • Macron: Calls a surprise election France's left and right: F*ck it, we ball 💃💃
  • Left-wing parties to the right-wing ones: "Ah you think infighting is your ally? You merely adopted the circular firing squad. We were born in it, molded by it."
  • French politics never disappoints, this shit is funnier than any political TV show

From France here IT'S A FUCKING DRAMA EVERY FUCKING DAY
  • @romitkumar6272
The leader of a major political party locked himself in his office and started shouting "la la la la la can't hear you" and put his fingers in his ears while other party members tried to throw him out? This is some saturday morning cartoon level shit

I'm amazed by the speed at which this and the UK elections are going. Here in the Netherlands, our PM announced in July of last year that there'd be new elections, which ended up happening 4 and a half months later. and we still don't have a new government.

Ah yes! Nothing says "I'm the serious competent and level headed leader France needs right now!" like locking the door to a meeting room and yelling "You can't vote me out if you can't get in the voting room I'll be here foreeeeeever!" A strategy right out the playbook of my mates 5 yo who didn't want to brush his teeth 🙄😅

This is too much democracy for me to understand as an American. I mean, they actually have choices. Wow!

I appreciate how incredibly well researched your coverage of french elections is, it's rare coming from english media.
  • @CyrilleParis
I'm French and I can say that your account of French politics is very well research, very to the point and fair. I'm impressed. Even on, the screen on the precedent video where you wrote that it was an oversimplification, it was really well done and I wish all French people would understand as much!
